On April 10, 2023, the acceptance review meeting of the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC)- Purple Mountain Observatory (PMO) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) for the Wide Field Survey Telescope (WFST) was held at the Institute of Optics and Electronics of Chinese Academy of Sciences (IOE) in Chengdu, China, which was conducted in an offline mode and supplemented by an online mode. The meeting was attended by relevant experts from Nanjing Institute of Astronomy and Optics Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Nanjing Astronomical Instrument Co., LTD (NAIRC), Purple Mountain Observatory, Institute of Optics and Electronics of Chinese Academy of Sciences. At the beginning of the meeting, speeches were made by Changhui Rao, Deputy Director of the Institute of Photoelectric Technology, and Yao Fu, Vice President of the University of Science and Technology of China, respectively.

Subsequently, Mr. Cheng Zhang, Deputy Chief Designer of WFST, made a report on “Development of University of Science and Technology of China (USTC)-Purple Mountain Observatory (PMO) Wide Field Survey Telescope (WFST)” and “University of Science and Technology of China (USTC)-Purple Mountain Observatory (PMO) Wide Field Survey Telescope (WFST) Body Exit Tests”.

The experts of the acceptance group listened to the above report, checked the documents and materials according to the “Test Outline for the Wide Field Survey Telescope (WFST) of the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) - Purple Mountain Observatory (PMO)”, went to the site to carry out on-site testing for the test items of the telescope one by one, and put forward suggestions and opinions on the indexes of some of the key items and the actual working condition of the site at the later stage of the project. After discussion, the acceptance group unanimously agreed that the telescope body has the conditions to leave the institute and agreed to leave the institute.
